Inn On The Green

The sound of bowls clunking together on the green is a familiar sound of an English summer. Now, luckily for expats and holidaymakers in the north Costa Blanca resorts, this typically British game can be played all year long.
The Inn On The Green is home to the Javea Green Bowls Club, a friendly group of people who enjoy bowling for fun and in competitions.  This is a great way to make new friends while taking up a new sport or renewing your love of bowling.
Players are invited to join the Javea Green Bowls Club or can simply turn up for a game - bowls and shoes will be provided. You are welcome to come in off the street to play a game - you don't need to be a member to play here.
The Inn On The Green is between Benitachell and the popular beach resort of Javea. You can be sure of a friendly welcome from owner Matt, who runs the clubhouse bar. You can enjoy a cup of English tea, coffee or a cold drink from the fully-stocked bar while watching the bowlers in action. There is a lovely, sunny outside terrace as well as plenty of room inside the clubhouse.
Feeling peckish? The Inn On The Green keeps to the great British theme with a tasty menu of snacks and meals from home, including bacon or sausage sandwiches, sausage and chips, omelette, burgers, prawn cocktail, toasties, and a selection of cold sarnies with prices starting at €1.90. The menu includes daily specials from €3.90 and lovely fish and chips for €4.95. The food is freshly prepared by Jan who is well-known for serving tasty dishes at amazing value.
If you're planning a special celebration such as a birthday, wedding reception, Christmas party or business function, the Inn On The Green is the ideal spot. With a function room to seat up to 70 people, a licensed bar and plenty of parking, the Inn On The Green can cater for many events. If you fancy a meal for your party, Matt can arrange a buffet or sit-down meal of your choice and recommend talented local musicians, bands or entertainers. Local organisations and charities often host special events such as Spring Fairs and Fashion Shows here.
If you want to find out more about the Inn On The Green, you are very welcome to attend the weekly Quiz Night, which is held every Friday from 7pm, and is open to everyone. This would be an ideal chance to break the ice, meet new people and pit your wits against fellow expats.
